Rev. Dave and the Sin Eaters had their origin in Corner Brook.
In Spring 2024 Rev Dave re-centered the band in St. John’s and he and Andrea Monro welcomed Wade Pinhorn, Doug Randell and Doug White into the fold. They immediately began work on their new album Clouds Like Buffalo which features, as well, special guests Greg Bruce, Ford Burden, Mike Herriott, Kendra Parsons, and Jordan Young. From the striking album cover by artist Jane Reagh to the vibrant horn section, this album is an enhancement of the Rev Dave and the Sin Eaters groove. It's available now -- Listen here

Since the release of their first album in 2020, Rev Dave and the Sin Eaters have garnered two Music NL nominations for Folk/ Roots Artist of the year and two ECMA nominations for the album Beams of Love, which was nominated in both the Blues and Country Categories.

Acoustic Trio

The Rev Dave Trio brings a more acoustic take to roots music than its mother-band, Rev Dave and the Sin Eaters. The group is an exploration of contemporary and traditional folk roots and focuses on interpreting old and new classics with sweet harmonies and some fine picking. Americana was invented by The Band and Neil Young, and you don’t need to like the American President to like Americana music!

The Trio consists of Rev. Dave (Vocals/Acoustic Guitar), Andrea Monro (Vocals/Banjo), and Big Doug (Electric/Steel Guitar).

Dave), a singer-songwriter with over 250 songs to his name, brings a distinctively roots vein sound, while Doug Randell (Big Doug), a multi-instrumentalist with a passion for electric and steel guitar, adds depth and texture. Together, they create a unique sound that's both authentic and captivating, drawing on influences from CCR to Johnny Cash, and Vince Gill to David Gilmour."

Songwriters circle was a beloved series of shows that took place under the umbrella of Rev Dave Music. Hosted by the charismatic David Peddle, this weekly event brought together a diverse array of musicians from all corners of Newfoundland.

Every Wednesday evening, music lovers from the West Coast would gather at Boomstick Brewing in Corner Brook, eager to experience the unique magic of these special shows. The series provided a vital platform for local musicians to connect, share their stories, and showcase their talents to an enthusiastic audience.

From seasoned veterans to emerging artists, the series celebrated the incredible diversity of Newfoundland's music scene. David Peddle's warm and engaging hosting style created a relaxed, intimate atmosphere, allowing performers to feel at ease and connect with the audience on a deeper level.
